Lisbon Audio-guide

Lisbon is known as the City of Light . Built between seven hills, overlooking the Tagus river, is today a modern city that still retains many vestiges and monuments.

The typical city districts are a maze that allow return to the past, an urban network of the past which still lives.

The modern museum is mixed with ancient gardens of rest and the charm of its streets are an integral part of this cosmopolitan city.

The modern part also known as “white city” because of the light that shines on sunny days, a mix of old and new that gives a certain charm.

Its inhabitants are known as “alfacinha”, although it is unclear the origin of the term, already used in the seventeenth century.

Two centuries later, according to Pinheiro Chagas, writer and polemicist, the term seems to be linked to the practice of eating tapas of Lisbon, this means that on days off traveling to the neighboring gardens, where one of the favorites was fried fish and salad.

It is a city with a rich and varied cuisine that offers delightful places to enjoy the city while testing new flavors.

Lisbon remains a city that needs to be discovered to be appreciated. It is a city to visit and explore, then you get only reveal their secrets.
